Friday, May 6th, 2011

Moving to another house is very difficult especially when it is your first time. You might think that there are so much to do when planning a removal but actually there isn’t, especially if it was carefully planned beforehand. To help you have a convenient and efficient time we are giving you out tips on what to prepare one week before moving.

First thing you should need to do is to mark and take note of the items you are going to bring yourself during the removal date. You should bring important documents and files which cannot be replaced or difficult to get like birth certificates, important receipts and alike. Bring it with you and avoid mixing it with other boxes which you have packed. Also, make sure that you haven’t overlooked anything in the house as it is difficult to comeback when all are already moved, stressful even.

It is also good to have your packed items be labelled with stickers with “Load Last”, “Do Not Load”, or “Fragile” as it will help you and the removal personnel to know what package they will take care of. One week before your removal, it is also important to defrost, empty and clean your freezer, refrigerator and clean your stove at the same time at least 24 hours before moving to let the air out. It is also helpful to use a baking soda to remove any possible odour.

Be sure to prepare items that you would need and food that you will eat while in transit. Pack your suitcases and make sure to confirm any travel arrangements for you and your family. It is also important to get in touch with your removal agent and inform them about the address and the phone number of your new home and your old home.

Taking note of these important tips will enable you to have a convenient and stress-free removal.
